Does Our Guest Count Matter?
If you anticipate having over 150 guests at your wedding, you should let your DJ know! And this isn’t the only piece of the puzzle that matters in order to have a great experience. Other factors, like the size of your venue spaces, the distance between areas (e.g. from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing), and the way you want your dance party to feel are ALL just as important!

The factors I just mentioned could mean the difference between all your guests being able to hear what’s going on or some of your guests feeling left out because music/speeches didn’t quite reach their table(s). It could mean the difference between hearing the music on your dance floor and feeling the music on your dance floor. This is why it’s so important to tell your DJ things like:
We’re anticipating 250-350 guests at our wedding.
Our Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Dinner/Dancing areas are in separate locations that aren’t right next to each other.
We want our Dance Floor to feel like a club, with lots of bass and party energy!
Details such as these may impact your final quote or the package your DJ recommends. If they need to rent/bring additional gear, you’ll want to know how that affects the total up front.

Here’s the truth not all DJs will tell you: A standard DJ system with 2 top speakers and a mixer is, typically, just loud enough for 100-150 guests. They might be able to push that system to cover ~200-250 guests but overall audio quality (and clarity) will suffer.
This is exactly why we invested in top of the line equipment and bring a minimum of 4 speakers to every full wedding experience. We know that regardless of your guest count or venue, we’re going to be able to evenly cover almost any space with clear, high quality audio. To create the best results, we recommend the following:
If you anticipate 200 or fewer guests on your dance floor and are inviting 300 or fewer guests to your wedding, our Resident package is a great fit!
If you anticipate having 200+ guests on your dance floor and are inviting 300+ guests to your wedding, we recommend our Headliner package!
If you’d like your dance floor to feel like the center of your own private club or to carry the energy of a private show/concert, regardless of your guest count, the higher output speakers, subwoofers, and elevated lighting included with our Headliner package will do just that!
